Regional Focus Groups
Asameshikai
Asameshikai is an organization of students and professionals who share a keen interest in Japan's culture, language, politics, and economy.
China Focus
China Focus is an student organization for IR/PS Chinese students, and
who are interested in Chinese language, politics, economy, and culture.
LASO
Latin America Student Organization (LASO) is a student-run organization dedicated to increasing the understanding of Latin American politics, economics and culture.
Mannam
Mannam is an IR/PS student organization for those interested in learning
about the culture, language, politics and economy of Korea.
SEAL
Southeast Asia Link (SEAL) is an IR/PS student-run organization that is
dedicated to fostering an in-depth understanding of the diversity of Southeast
Asian nations in terms of their unique culture, politics, and economy.
Professional Development Groups
SCC
Strategic Community Consulting SCC seeks to create links between IR/PS
graduate students and the nonprofit community in San Diego by providing
research and consulting services.
Export
Access
Export Access is a student-run, global market research group that promotes
international trade.
Environment Society
The IRPS Environment Society organizes a variety of activities to engage
students who are interested in the environment, to facilitate discussion
about current environmental issues, and to interact with professors and
professionals working in this field.
The Development Club
The Development Club is a pre-professional organization which will bring together students who are interested in pursuing international development and nonprofit management to exchange stories and swap information about this dynamic and ever-changing field. This organization is not-for-profit and is solely for student information.
Net Impact
Net Impact’s mission is to improve the world by growing and strengthening a network of new leaders who are using the power of business to make a positive net social, environmental, and economic impact. With more than 125 student and professional chapters on 4 continents in 75 cities and 80 graduate schools, a central office in San Francisco, and partnerships with leading corporations and nonprofit organizations, Net Impact enables members to use business for social good in their graduate education, careers, and communities.
