Organization of the Board
Regional Director positions, representing both domestic and international locations with significant alumni presence, are appointed to the Board. Six At-Large Directors, serving a two-year term, are elected by all alumni. The position of President is a two-year term. The president is joined by an outgoing president in the first year of presidency and by an incoming president in the second year. The newly-created IR/PS Alumni Association Charter provides a detailed description of the organization.
The members of the board are elected by the alumni and meet throughout the year to establish, in collaboration with the Dean, the goals and objectives for the IR/PS Alumni Association. Meetings are held every two months with directors joining either in-person or by conference call. Board committees focus on particular programs, and ad hoc work groups are formed when deemed appropriate. The board assists the staff in the implementation of programs for more than 1,900 alumni worldwide annually.
