Spring Connections 2010

 IR/PS held its annual Spring Connections event on April 8th, 2010 hosting 17 alumni back to campus to provide career and industry information to current students.

Alumni offered career talks on topics ranging from Monitoring & Evaluation in Development Programs to Navigating the U.S. Government Scene in DC. All participated in a networking dinner and reception with current students.

IRPSCAREERS  gives you the opportunity to contact other alumni in your fields of interest, search job postings, and post jobs for your current employer.

Virtual Campus

The University Of California - San Diego Virtual Campus is the direct, online channel for companies and alumni to connect and interact with University Of California - San Diego students, all from their desktop, through online meetings and online chats.

Career Advisors/Networking

For online access to a new IR/PS professional network, join the LinkedIn IR/PS Group. The IR/PS Group is an informal but significant way to share resources and advice and to connect with other IR/PS alumni and current students.

Alumni Mentor Program

This formalized program provides students with one-on-one alumni mentoring, starting in Winter Quarter, for an ongoing professional relationship. For more information, contact Nurit Mandel

Alumni Career Talks

Throughout the school year, many alumni have come back to campus to share their expertise with current students and reconnect with favorite staff and faculty. Think about a stopover in San Diego and a visit to IR/PS on campus when you are planning your next trip. Contact Nurit Mandel.

Quarterly Connections

At the beginning of the winter and spring quarters current students look forward to interacting with 15-20 alumni with a variety of professional experiences at each Quarterly Connections event that includes topical panels and a networking dinner. Winter Connections typically is more East-Coast focused, while Spring Connections is more West-Coast focused.
