Natasha Hanshaw

Natasha Hanshaw works as a short-term consultant for international development projects and think-tanks, specializing in evaluation, indexing, and policy research and analysis, particularly in the areas of economic governance and regulatory environments for businesses.
 
Originally from Britain and Germany, Natahsa earned her BA at Duke University in 2003. She has had eight years of international experience working in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors on international trade policy at a think-tank in Switzerland, private sector development projects in Kosovo and Vietnam, and education and water/sanitation projects in India, Nepal, and the U.S.
 
Natasha concentrated her studies at IR/PS on economic development in transition economies in Southeast Asia, completing the econometrics series of courses. She also took the opportunity to work on quantitative research and analysis with Professor Edmund Malesky on USAID's Vietnam Provincial Competitiveness Initiative and the World Bank/The Asia Foundation Cambodian Business Environment Scorecard, which rank provinces by their economic governance and investment environment for private firms. It was these opportunities at IR/PS that led to the her current career.
