Paul Lamb
MPIA '95
Paul Lamb is a long-time social entrepreneur and nonprofit professional. He is currently the principal of Man on a Mission Consulting, a management consulting firm specializing in social change through business and technology. Paul is a founder and former executive director of the Stride Center, an award-winning program providing computer training and job placement for low-income and underserved individuals in California. He has built several successful nonprofit organizations and social enterprises in the areas of youth, workforce development, and technology. His work has been featured in USA Today, CIO Magazine, and in the book Finding Your Passion: The Easy Guide to Your Dream Career.
Paul is also an author, blogger, frequent radio commentator, and op-ed contributor on social issues through media outlets like NPR’s Marketplace, The Huffington Post, and Social Enterprise Magazine. He was a 2007 winner of the Knight Foundation 21st Century Media Challenge, named the 2005 University of California, San Diego Alumnus of the Year, and was awarded the California Governor’s Technology & Innovation Award in 2002.
Paul was a “Next Generation Fellow” with the American Assembly at Columbia University, and is a former fellow with the ZeroDivide Foundation in San Francisco. He currently serves on the Board of the Stride Center and has served on the Boards of the Social Enterprise Alliance Bay Area Chapter and the Jhai Foundation.
