Jordan Plawner

MPIA '97

Jordan has been an employee of the Intel Corporation in Portland, Oregon since his graduation from IR/PS. After managing high tech suppliers for a number of years, he spent two years in Copenhagen, Denmark managing Suppliers, Manufacturing and Operations for an Intel acquisition in the fiber optics components market. After the assignment, Jordan was a senior materials program manager for Intel’s first integrated WLAN (WiFi) Centrino mobile PC products. Most recently, he joined the product planning team for the Intel Ethernet product line where he led Intel’s Ethernet adapter product planning and strategy and the expansion of the business into new markets and product segments, dramatically raising revenue and market share.

For the last three years, Jordan has expanded his role of senior product planner into Storage Networking in order to move the division into the fast growing enterprise networked external storage market. Jordan led the product planning, business strategy, market analysis, ecosystem enabling, and marketing efforts and has been involved in or sits on the boards of various storage industry consortiums.

At IR/PS, Jordan assisted Professor Richard Feinberg in his publication of "Summitry in the Americas," and was an active member of the Latin America club, a consulting group, and the Journal of Pacific & International Affairs (JPIA).

Jordan lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife, Debbie, and three children, Efrem, Suretta, and Miriam (Mimi). He is involved in the community serving as a member of the board of the Jewish Federation of Greater Portland, and as a founding member of the local Oregon Little People of America (LPA) chapter.
