Summer Starr
MPIA '08
Summer Starr is executive director of Reality Gives, a nonprofit in Mumbai, India.
Summer has a thorough understanding of the unique opportunities and challenges that face small businesses in developing countries. She also has experience designing and teaching small business training programs, and advocating for access to education. Summer is especially interested in developing links between small businesses, nonprofits, and large corporations as a conduit for pro-poor products and technologies that create employment and economic growth.
Summer was vice president of the IR/PS student group Southeast Asia Link, publications director for the Journal of International Policy Solutions, and interned with Africa Aid. She graduated with a career track in international management and a regional focus in Southeast Asia.
