David has been with IR/PS since 2005. He oversees the day-to-day functions of the Career Services department and manages the department's long-term strategic planning and program development. His focus is marketing the expertise of IR/PS students and developing relationships with targeted employers. He especially enjoys the wide diversity of backgrounds, interests, and dreams of IR/PS students. David holds a master's degree in counselor education from San Diego State University. |

Nurit joined IR/PS in 2004. With over 12 years of graduate student recruitment and advising experience, she's dedicated to partnering with students to determine their individualized career goals and strategies and then implementing them through developing relationships between students, alumni, and employers. She deeply enjoys the students' diverse perspectives and drive, and the inevitable positive global impact they have as IR/PS alumni. Nurit holds a BA in psychology from UC Santa Cruz, a certificate in training and development from UC San Diego, and extensive training in career coaching from the National Association of Colleges and Employers.

Tamara joined the IR/PS career services team in June 2009. With more than 15 years of experience as a career coach to graduate students and alumni of international relations, she enjoys partnering with students in achieving their goals through individual coaching, career-related workshops and programs, and employer recruiting and outreach. In addition to a master's in Italian language and literature, she holds advanced professional certifications in life coaching, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, and federal job search training. |
Student Interns
In addition to the three full-time staff members, student interns complete the career services team. They are an integral part of the team, keeping the electronic job board up-to-date, assisting in event coordination, and aiding visitor and student reception.

Ross Bradley Bixler Ross is a 2013 Master of International Affairs (MIA) degree candidate at IR/PS. He completed his BA in international studies at UC San Diego, with concentrations in economics and political science. He continues these studies at IR/PS with a career track in international economics and a regional focus on Southeast Asia. Ross has worked as a marketing consultant and community manager for a California property management firm, interned with the Institute on Global Cooperation and Conflict (IGCC), and served as the residential advisor for The Village of Torrey Pines at UC San Diego. |

Anna Kim Huynh Anna is a 2014 Master of Pacific International Affairs degree candidate at IR/PS. She completed her BA in international studies at UC San Diego in June 2011. Before coming to IR/PS for her graduate work, Anna worked for California State Senator Lou Correa of the 34th District as a field representative, and served as the fundraising director for the Organization of Chinese Americans Orange County Chapter. In 2008, Anna co-established an international non-profit organization called ETA4 — English Through Academics, Athletics, and the Arts Abroad. |

Joy Sampoonachot Joy is a UC San Diego undergraduate student majoring in international studies with a focus on economics. In addition to working at IR/PS and studying, Joy interns for ArtPower!, is the Student at Large - Imagination Advocate for Thurgood Marshall College (TMC) Student Council, and co-chairs the Marshall Activities Committee. |
