Diana Muratova, MPIA ‘13ChildFund International “As the Program Intern in the ChildFund Philippines' National Offices, I am involved in the review and editing of proposals, facilitation and documentation of workshops, development of marketing and communications materials, and assistance with monitoring and evaluation. Most recently, I helped draft the proposal for funding emergency relief programs for communities affected by the August floods in Manila. I have also had opportunities to travel to a number of provinces and take part in decisive conversations with national and global stakeholders and development experts. Aside from wide exposure to development work, I have been introduced to a dynamic urban culture in Manila and continue to brush up on my street smarts, as I wrestle my way into public transport every morning.” |

Sarah Oliver, MPIA ‘13U.S. Department of State, Consulate General Ho Chi Minh City “The Public Affairs Section's primary goal is to bring understanding of American culture and values to the Vietnamese people, all in an attempt to build a friendship between countries that were previously enemies. As an intern at PAS, my main duties are writing and editing content for the Consulate's website, and drafting speeches for the Consul General and other Consular officials. I am also responsible for occasionally giving presentations at the American Center, which is the part of the consulate open to the Vietnamese public and planning activities with the Center's English Clubs.” |
