President - Susie Li (李卉), MPIA Candidate 2012

Hometown: Weifang Shandong, China
Regional Focus: China 
Career Track: International Environmental Policy
Language: Mandarin, English and some French
Favorite Movie(s): Movies directed by 姜文 and 李安, The Shawshank Redemption

Susie Li is a big fan of Chinese Language films, especially those directed by Jiang Wen and Ang Lee. Upon learning that UCSD has the largest collection of Chinese language films in the United States, Susie was more than eager to promote Chinese culture through the screening of Chinese language movies to the whole IR/PS community. She hopes to provide a chance for anyone interested in Chinese culture to better understand China through her efforts at CLFS.

Vice-president - Adria Llach (江安业), MPIA Candidate 2012

Hometown: Barcelona, Spain
Regional Focus: China
Career Track: International Environmental Policy
Language: Catalan, Spanish, English, Japanese and a bit of Chinese and French.
Favorite Chinese Movie(s): 2046, In the mood for love, Lust caution.

Regular at Asian Film Festivals in Barcelona and ex-worker at his hometown's cinema, Adria Llach loves discovering new ways to tell stories through cinema and sharing movie nights with friends. He has an absolute devotion for Wong Kar-Wai and Japanese director Katsuhito Ishii, and would like to be reborn as Tony Leung.

Favorite Chinese Movie(s): The Wandering Songstress, Blind Shaft, Gone with the Wind

Before moving to the United States at the age of 15, Nancy grew up in Shenzhen, China. Nancy enjoys reading, playing music, watching movies and traveling to exotic places. As a member of the CLFS, Nancy wants to explore different movie genres and have a great time with other movie lovers. She looks forward to a year of wonderful movies!

Vice-president - Elena Foukes

Hometown: St. Clair Shores, MI
Regional Focus: China
Career Track: International Economics
Language: 2yrs of Chinese
Favorite Chinese Movie(s): To Live

She is the graphic artist for the Chinese Language FIlm Society, providing snappy posters for each film screening. Rather limited in her knowledge of Chinese film, she is still exploring the genre with vigor.
