Founded in 1994 by Charlie Robins, Export Access Global Consulting (EAGC) has served as a vital link between businesses, academia, and global markets for more than 15 years. Our group’s expertise is the provision of global market research and consulting services to small and medium-sized enterprises to help identify and secure Pacific Asian and Latin American export and additional business opportunities.

EAGC regards itself as a supplier of knowledge. It has a tradition placing a high value on continuity, long-term client relationships, and consistent achievement at the highest level. With this tradition at the forefront of its focus, EAGC cultivates its roots, which lie in academic research.

As graduate students at IR/PS, EAGC Research Associates and Consultants are trained in marketing, advanced statistics, economics, international politics, public policy, and business management. They are specialists in Asia and Latin America, bringing full language proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai, and French. EAGC Research Associates and Consultants have also lived and worked abroad in their respective regions of expertise.

Since its inception, EAGC has provided a broad range of valuable market research reports to companies, covering issues such as market potential for in China and Mexico, the NAFTA tariff phaseout shcedule for home improvement products, government procurement of radar traffic systems in five Pacific Rim countries, investment opportunities in various Chinese industries, and the economic impact of the military on the greater San Diego economy.

Aiding the organization in its mission are numerous domestic and overseas contacts, including government officials and industry leaders. EAGC is supported by IR/PS faculty, who rank among the world's most distinguished scholars in their fields. Dr. Krislert Samphantharak, Professor of Economics, and Dr. Ulrike Schaede, Professor of Business, serve as EAGC's faculty advisors.
