Becoming a Research Associate or Consultant

 

Candidates should exhibit strong statistical, research, writing, and presentation skills, have experience relating to trade development, marketing, business development, strategic planning, and be highly proficient in a language of the Pacific region. Research Associate and Consultant responsibilities include: conducting market research, preparing reports, drafting replies to trade and business inquiries, working in a team environment, and additional duties to provide a full range of research and/or consulting services. Specifically you may be asked to:

  • Assess the economic impact of specific policies in a country / industry
  • Conduct a country / industry analysis
  • Research and identify top export countries for a company’s products and services
  • Identify the market potential, demand trends, size, competition, market access, regulations and standards, and distribution practices for a given product or service in a selected country
  • Assist in identifying and securing international buyers, importers and distributors
  • Work in an online collaborative team environment
