Dean's Fellow, 2012-2013 

Noah Brennan grew up in Dubuque, Iowa and completed his undergraduate studies at Carleton College in Minnesota. After graduating with distinction in his major of political science/international relations in 2007, Noah spent four years working in Japan as a coordinator for international relations on the JET Programme, and as a translator and interpreter on the modern art and resort island of Naoshima.

At IR/PS, Noah developed an interest in international economics and spent his summer internship at the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s East Asia Office. There, he worked with desk economists in preparing macroeconomic overviews of regional countries, and researched and drafted briefs on current issues like the extent of East Asian financial linkages to Europe.

Noah is a member of the Community Consultants Program, a branch of IR/PS’s Development Club that seeks to have a positive impact on the San Diego community through its partnership with the International Rescue Committee.
