Adrián Pavía graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a BA in English literature and a minor in peace and conflict studies. He has extensive work experience in the public sector, having spent a number of years as an analyst for the Los Angeles Unified School District – the second-largest district in the country. During his time at LAUSD, Adrián worked on a number of large-scale organizational restructuring projects, dividing his time between program analysis and communications.

More recently, Adrián interned in the Office of Marketing and Communications at the U.S. Commercial Service in Washington, DC, where he was responsible for writing press articles promoting U.S. Department of Commerce trade missions to countries such as Israel, Vietnam, and Indonesia. He serves as editor in chief of the Journal of International Policy Solutions, and is focusing his studies on international economics and public policy, particularly the intersection of trade and development projects coordinated by the federal government.
