After completing high school in Hong Kong, Karl Yoder graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Public Policy and East Asian Studies. His interest in energy and the environment spurs his leadership at IR/PS in the Environmental Policy and Business Forum and the International Cleantech Initiative. An avid surfer and lover of the outdoors, Karl feels right at home in San Diego.
Karl spent his summer with a California-based cleantech company, which uses plasma gasification to safely and cleanly transform waste into energy. The need for such innovative technology is great throughout the world, and Karl is drawing on his many years of living in China and studying the Chinese language to help bring this technology across the Pacific.
This experience and his time at IR/PS are helping prepare Karl for a career navigating US-China interactions on the issue of clean energy.
