Career Track: International Politics
Regional Focus: Latin America

Dean's Fellow, 2012-2013
Originally from Yerevan, Armenia, Diana Muratova completed her higher education at the University of California, Irvine, graduating with a degree in psychology and a minor in management. Having studied abroad in Paris, she decided to expand her international experience beyond the comforts of European metropolises, and spent two summers working with indigenous communities in the highlands of Peru. This is where she saw an urgent need for a multi-sector approach toward development and chose to pursue a degree in international affairs.
Prior to coming to IR/PS, Diana worked as a recruiter in the private sector, volunteered in her native Armenia, and interned at the Center for Governmental Studies in Los Angeles. She is currently the Writing Coach at the IR/PS Skills Development Center and serves on the board of the Latin American Student Organization as the director of public relations.
Diana spent her summer interning in the Philippines National Offices of ChildFund International, where she composed proposals and communication materials, took part in the monitoring and evaluation of field projects, and learned to navigate the unforgiving streets of Metro Manila.
