Dean's Fellow, 2012-2013

Brian Camblin, a native San Diegan, earned his undergraduate degree in Philosophy from San Diego State University. Shortly after graduation he embarked on a two-year service venture as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Honduras from 2004-2006. After returning to San Diego he earned a California Teaching Credential and returned to Latin America to work in education, first as a Fulbright recipient in Brazil and then as a Peace Corps Response Volunteer in Colombia.

Brian recently interned with the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) in Brasilia, where he wrote a series of project proposals to fund efforts for the elimination of gender violence and improve the participation of women in international peacekeeping missions. In addition to his academic responsibilities, Brian is the Director of Operations for Strategic Community Consulting, a student run firm that provides consulting services for non-profit organizations.
