The School of International Relations and Pacific Studies within the Division of Academic Affairs at UC San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body, and invites applications for an Associate Professor in the field of comparative politics and public policy whose research, teaching, or service has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity and inclusion in higher education, to begin July 1, 2012. Preference will be given to scholars at the Associate Professor rank but excellent candidates in other areas or at other levels will also be seriously considered.Our School seeks candidates who fit into a curriculum and research environment that combines a strong commitment to theory, method and excellence in empirical work with a regional focus on South, Southeast or Northeast Asia, and/or Latin America. Successful candidates will be prepared to demonstrate the highest standards of professional research, teaching, and service and to contribute to our commitment to diversity and inclusion in higher education.
