Biography
John E. Rielly is a visiting professor in the School of International Relations and Pacific Studies, and an Adjunct Professor of Political Science at Northwestern University. From 1962 to 1969 Rielly served as Foreign Policy Assistant to Senator and Vice President Hubert Humphrey, and from 1971 to 2001 he served as President of the Chicago Council on Foreign Relations.At the Chicago Council on Foreign Relations, Rielly edited six editions (1974-1999) of a nationwide study entitled “American Public Opinion and US Foreign Policy."
