Biography
Bob Neilson has a distinctive and unique background as a corporate finance and mergers & acquisitions specialist, with additional expertise in corporate taxation, strategy and financial management. He is currently an advisor to the owners of a major intellectual property portfolio which has generated $200 million of licensing income over the past 3 years.In 2001, Bob retired from PricewaterhouseCoopers, after serving as a partner for 20 years in various capacities, including Managing Partner, Corporate Finance for Asia-Pacific Region (based in Seoul, Korea, 1998-2000).
Bob has been the lead financial advisor in numerous merger, acquisition, divestiture and corporate finance transactions for both domestic and international buyers and sellers and has led engagement teams in negotiating and structuring acquisitions for various clients. Over the past 25 years, he has been a key advisor in approximately 50 M&A, joint venture and other transactions, with aggregate values of over $25 billion. He has advised a wide variety of clients in the distribution, entertainment, manufacturing, industrial products, consumer products and medical products industries. Major clients have included Prudential Insurance of America, Daewoo Telecom Co., Korea Steel Chemical Co., The Walt Disney Company, H.B. Fuller, Callaway Golf, Baxter International, Redken International, Mrs. Fields Cookies, Perkin-Elmer Corporation and Pechiney International.
Bob is a graduate of Brigham Young University. Over the years, he has served in many leadership positions in the Community, including as a member of the Board of Directors of the Stamford Symphony, a Board Member of the Stamford Center for the Arts, a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board at the U.C. San Diego Graduate School of International Relations, an Adjunct Professor at the University of Southern California Masters of Taxation Program, and Chairman of the California and Utah CPA Symposiums.
