Community Programs

IR/PS stands among the world’s top graduate schools of international relations and is the established leader in its focus on Asia and the Americas. It is a true global society of faculty, staff, students, and community partners dedicated to the advancement of knowledge through education and research. Following are just a few ways you can get involved today.

Dean's Roundtable

The Dean's Roundtable (DRT) is the School's flagship speaker program. It is one of the liveliest forums in Southern California for the discussion of current international issues focused on the Pacific region. Speakers present informative lectures on the global economy, up to the minute political insights and forecast future international scenarios. Donors who give $1,000 or more each year to the IR/PS Annual Fund are recognized as members of the Dean’s Global Leadership Society, and are invited to attend all Dean’s Roundtable lectures. Leadership donors also enjoy unique opportunities to learn about and participate in the work being accomplished by our global community as thanks for their investment in the School.

Public Lectures and Events

IR/PS hosts and co-hosts many public lectures on Pacific region topics. These lectures are open to all interested community members, and we encourage you to attend. Please visit the Events Calendar to learn more about the upcoming public lectures at IR/PS and related events at UC San Diego.

Faculty Lectures

Our faculty are experts on a wide range of subjects relating to international affairs and the Pacific rim.
