Susan Sharp, Assistant Director for Boren Scholarships and Fellowships from the Institute of International Education will be here at UCSD to offer information about the Boren Fellowship program. Boren Fellowships provide up to $30,000 to U.S. graduate students to support 9 - 12 months of in-country language study. No prior language experience is necessary. Fellows in turn are expected to work for at least one year in a security-related position in the U.S. government and are granted non-competitive eligibility for up to 2 years after graduation or completion of the program. The application deadline is January 31, 2013.
