Winter Connections

Student Event
01/17/2013, 05:00pm-08:00pm
Location: UC San Diego, Robinson Building Complex, Auditorium
Open to: Students
Winter Connections brings to campus alumni working in career fields of interest to IR/PS students. The goal is to expose students to a broader network of alumni who can share advice and information and help them explore internship and full-time opportunities in their respective organizations or industries.
The first part of the evening (5:30 - 6:30 p.m.) includes a panel in the Robinson Auditorium where alumni are able to introduce themselves and share pointers for making the most of the IR/PS education. The second part (6:30 – 8 p.m.) consists of networking over dinner in the Great Hall.
Students who RSVP are expected to attend both sessions, with the exception of those who have evening language classes that prevent them from attending for the entire time. These students are permitted to come for whatever portion of the evening their schedule allows.
Requested attire is professional. Please also be sure to bring your business cards and prepare your initial introduction (or "elevator pitch").
For more information on how to participate and to RSVP, please check IRPSCAREERS.
