Leading scholars from China’s Fudan University and the University of California will be joining together for this one-day symposium to assess the implications of American election and Chinese leadership transitions for U.S.-China relations in the next four to five years. The different panel sessions will analyze the process and outcome of the 18th Chinese Communist Party Congress and the 2012 U.S. election, the role U.S.-China relations have played in them, and the economic and security relations between the U.S. and China.
