IR/PS in the Community Event is a Success
Members of the community volunteer at New Roots Farm

On Saturday, November 21, more than 80 students, alumni, staff, and faculty from the IR/PS community gathered in City Heights to volunteer at the New Roots Farm, an organic community farm established by the International Rescue Committee.
From rebuilding the farm’s irrigation system for banana plants to cleaning up and restoring the landscape of nearby Chollas Creek, IR/PS volunteers were hard at work to make a difference for the local community. In a day’s work, IR/PS volunteers were able to collectively accomplish several large-scale projects for the farm, making a difference not only for the farm but also for the resettled international refugees who share and are empowered by the farm.
