The Global Leadership Institute (GLI), formerly the International Career Associates Program (ICAP), is a graduate-level executive education program and study abroad destination for postgraduate researchers and students. GLI has restructured and diversified its offerings over the past three years to almost triple in size. With a record fall quarter enrollment of 84 Fellows, it is evident that GLI’s professional development opportunities are valued. Click here to see the photo gallary from this event.

GLI's mission is to educate professionals to excel as leaders in a global society. Positioned under the umbrella of the School of International Relations and Pacific Studies (IR/PS), much of its programming for individual participants includes international affairs curricula. However, the customized group programming for both long-term (quarterly) and short-term (1-30 days) training also utilizes the vast resources available at a national research university, which include 80+ academic departments and programs whose disciplines incorporate numerous faculty and resources from across UC San Diego. Additionally, the program offers professional tours to prominent industries and government offices, giving exclusive insight to their operations and best practices.
