The Information Storage Industry Center (ISIC) at the University of California, San Diego announced Wednesday that NeoPath Networks, a provider of network file management solutions, is now a sponsor of the ISIC's StorageNetworking.org initiative.
The group is a nonprofit, university-based program focused on addressing the educational needs of data storage technology users.
The ISIC addresses these needs by establishing a global user group, developing an online portal that empowers storage managers and advocating the expansion of university-based educational offerings.
The StorageNetworking.org Initiative is funded through foundation grants to UCSD. Current sponsors include the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, the Storage Networking Industry Association, Computer Associates, EMC, Engenio, McData, NeoPath Networks, NeoScale Systems, Rainfinity, Servergraph, Trainer Communications, Storage magazine, InfoStor magazine, and Byte and Switch.
