IR/PS is proud to support alumnus Danny Paz '06, the Director of International Communications for Long Way Home, an NGO started by a former Peace Corps worker to break the cycle of poverty among youth in developing communities by creating educational opportunities, cultivating civic interaction, and encouraging healthy lifestyles.
Long Way Home has been nominated as one of 12 finalists in the BBC/Newsweek World Challenge 2010. With your help, they could win $25,000 to continue their efforts to build a school in Guatemala out of trash and tires. They would also be featured on the cover of Newsweek magazine and have a special on BBC.
To support Danny and Long Way Home, please vote online by November 12 for A Class Apart – Guatemala.
