Former executive director of USMEX named to Mexican government

René Zenteno named new Undersecretary for Population, Migration, and Religious Affairs

On Wednesday, René Zenteno, former executive director of the Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies, was introduced as the new Undersecretary for Population, Migration, and Religious Affairs in Mexican Ministry of the Interior. Dr. Zenteno was executive director of the Center in 2007-2008 and most recently served as provost and professor of sociology and demography at El Colegio de La Frontera Norte (COLEF) in Tijuana.
