Professor Peter Gourevitch was invited to speak at a plenary session at a joint conference between the International Political Science Association (IPSA) and European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR) in São Paulo. The overarching theme of the event, "What Happened to North-South?" explored the continuing relevance of the international North-South divide. Peter Gourevitch spoke on the plenary session titled "The Political Implications of the 2008-2009 Financial Crisis for North-South Relations."
Peter Gourevitch was interviewed by a Brazilian economic newspaper, Valor Econômico, while he was in São Paulo. The interview deals mostly with an article Gourevitch wrote and published in the Review of International Political Economy with Pablo Pinto of Columbia University and Steve Weymouth of Georgetown.
