IR/PS Student Group Gives City Council Members Green Grades
04/21/2011
Courtney Yee,

IR/PS student group, Strategic Community Consulting, recently conducted an independent analysis contributing to the second annual green report card for the San Diego City Council.
Council members were graded on policy decisions for 18 key environmental issues (from 2010) such as climate change adaptation, public transportation, renewable energy, and wastewater recycling. According to the results, the majority of council members improved their grades since last year, with only two members failing to support policies involving more environmental sustentation.
As community leaders, their decisions on environmental concerns have a huge effect in paving the way for a more sustainable future. From these progress reports, Mayor Sanders and our other elected officials will be kept more accountable for green-economic stewardship.
