The IR/PS Korea-Pacific Program, led by IR/PS Professor Stephan Haggard, is in expansion in terms of number of students, professionals, and visiting scholars. The Korea student organization Mannam's active presence and involvement in IR/PS also helps bring people from many countries together to increase awareness about Korea. This article from Choong-ang Daily USA quotes Marina Baeza, Assistant Director, IR/PS Admissions, on IR/PS' Korean regional concentration as a unique regional study program combining international relations, policy, and management disciplines. The Korea-Pacific Program and Mannam bring diverse individuals to explore significant issues such as North-South Korean relations while striving to maintain a neutral, scholarly perspective.

The Korea-Pacific Program was founded in 1989 by Professor Emeritus Lawrence Krause in recognition of the growing importance of Korea to the United States and, more generally, to the Asia-Pacific. The program promotes greater understanding of contemporary Korea, both North and South, including international relations, politics, public policy, and business environment.
Mannam is a student-led graduate organization for those interested in learning about Korea. Mannam's objective is to promote cultural understanding and cross-regional networking with other members of the IR/PS community. We do this while enhancing academic and professional interests in all aspects of Korea, including politics, economy, language, and society.
