Participants Complete Inaugural San Diego County Taxpayers Association Pension Certification Program

Elected officials, candidates for public office, professional staff members and civic leaders learned about the complex issues encompassing public pension systems at the first Pension Certification Program held by the San Diego County Taxpayers Association.
Twenty-two individuals attended the day-long event. Topics included the basics of defined benefit, defined contribution, and hybrid pension plans, the collective bargaining process, and retirement plan design options. All attendees passed an exam at the conclusion of the program.
