Jacques Chirazi, MPIA ’04, Awarded Outstanding Alumni

05/17/2012

At the fifth annual UC San Diego Graduate Student Community Awards held on May 9, 2012, Dean of Graduate Studies Kim Barrett presented IR/PS alumnus Jacques Chirazi, MPIA ’04, with the Outstanding Alumni award on behalf of the Graduate Student Association. Jennifer Shin, MPIA ’12, and Michael Peloquin, MPIA ’12, nominated Chirazi for this UC San Diego-wide award based on his continued commitment to advising and mentoring current IR/PS students on their career and professional development. He currently acts as an Advisory Board Member to the UC San Diego chapter of Net Impact — a professional development group at IR/PS committed to using the power of innovation to solve the world's most pressing social and environmental problems.

The Graduate Student Community Awards acknowledge the work and achievements of graduate students, faculty, staff, alumni and community partners, who have made a difference at UC San Diego by offering vital support to graduate and professional students over the course of the past year.
