MAS-IA Prep Program
Students who have been conditionally admitted to the MAS-IA program within an acceptable range of English proficiency may be required by the Admissions Committee to enroll in the IR/PS Prep Program. This program is offered in the summer and prep components include Analytical Writing (AW), Quantitative Methods (QM), Economics, Math Camp, and Excel.
In addition, students who have been admitted as candidates for the MAS-IA degree are advised to review the course prerequisites to determine whether their academic and professional backgrounds have sufficiently prepared them to enroll in a particular course. For students who do not have an academic or professional background relevant to a particular course, enrollment in the appropriate MAS-IA Prep component is recommended.
English as a Second Language (ESL) Training
Students seeking additional language preparation may elect to also enroll in the Global Leadership Institute’s (GLI) Summer ESL programs. These courses are ideal preparation for professionals who will enroll in graduate study and research at IR/PS. All GLI Summer ESL classes are held daily (Monday - Thursday) from 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at IR/PS. Summer enrollment options include the 10-week program, which takes place from July - September with a one-week break in August. You may also choose to register for one of two 5-week sessions: Session I begins in July and Session II begins in August. For more information please contact Renate Kwon.
