Language
Korea specialists must satisfy the MPIA language requirement in Korean. Beginning levels of Korean are offered by the UC San Diego Literature Department. The UC San Diego Linguistics Department offers a series of classes for native speakers of Korean. If you are an advanced speaker of Korean, IR/PS Student Affairs advises your enrollment in the native speaker series. Students are encouraged to volunteer in the local San Diego community as a means of practicing their foreign language skills. In addition, Career Services can assist with summer internships in Korea and Student Affairs can help you find opportunities abroad through the Education Abroad Office.
