Film Festival and SymposiumKorea on “Korea, North and South: A Cinematic Perspective”
Notable media outlets such as KPBS/NPR, Radio Free Asia, KBS News, JoongAng Ilbo, and Korea Policy Review covered the event.

More than 2,000 people attended the screening of five North Korean films, five South Korean films, and one U.S. documentary film. The festival included seven lectures and one open panel by internationally renowned film directors and scholars. It was the first North American film festival dedicated to contemporary films from both the Republic of Korea and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.  $39,715 received as grants from Korea Foundation, IGCC, Calit2, and others.
