Submissions
Now Accepting Papers for Winter 2013
Graduate and professional students are encouraged to submit publishable manuscripts addressing policy implications of, and solutions to, current international issues.
Special consideration will be given to submissions focusing on the following regions: Asia-Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean, however, submissions on all topics and concerning all regions are welcome.
Submission Types
PAPERS
Feature-length pieces of original research, including proper citations.
Papers should be 3,000 to 6,000 words, not including footnotes/bibliography.
ARTICLES
Essays exhibiting a clear and concise position on issues in the form of editorials, recommendations, or reflections.
Articles should be 750 to 1,500 words, not including footnotes/bibliography.
REVIEWS
Evaluations and reviews of relevant, existing arguments contained in essays, articles, and books.
Reviews should be 500 and 1,000 words.
Submissions should follow the guidelines of the Chicago Manual of Style and must be authored by a current graduate student in a related field.

UCSD Students: Photography Submissions
The Journal of International Policy Solutions offers UC San Diego students an opportunity to showcase their international photography. Several entries are chosen each year for inclusion in the Journal. Photographers will get a byline and a complimentary copy of the Journal.
The photo submission period is currently closed. Please check back in the Spring Quarter, 2012.
Entry Criteria:
- Photographs should be clearly identifiable as international in nature (we are looking for innovative pieces that speak to and reflect the international issues facing today's world or simply capture a poetic piece of culture someplace outside the US).
- Include your last name in the file name of the submission.
- Photos should be print quality at 7'' by 10'', but smaller photos will be considered (Please contact us if you have questions about this).
- Preferred file format is TIFF, but JPEG will be considered.
