Find a Page

1. Use the editor's Site Manager to find a page on the website.

  • Click the "Site Manager" button on the left side of the editor window.

  • The Site Manager follows the path of the website, represented as folders and pages. A page on the website with the path Site Home > Current Students > Student Life > Student Groups can be found by following the same path in the Site Manager, where each subsection is represented by a folder icon.

Navigate through the website's list view by right clicking a folder icon and selecting Open from the list. The folder will open to reveal subpages that are part of that section of the website. Continue to open sections until you've reached the desired page. A "main page," index.htm, will always be the first page in a section and cannot be removed.

  • Right Click Open Directory

a. Edit an existing page:

  • Right click a page (paper icon) and select Edit Page from the popup list to open the page for editing. The page will open in a new tab in the editor. To edit the content, double-click in the text area. A text editing window will open and you can begin editing the page content.

Right Click Edit Page

b. Create a new page:

  • Right click anywhere in the list of pages (in the desired subsection) to create a new page. Point to New and then click Page.

    Right Click New Document

In the New Page Wizard, type the Name of the page as it will appear in the URL. (Keep it short to avoice long URLs.) Press the tab key and the wizard will auto-fill the File Name and File Extension fields for you.

Keep the remaining settings on their default values unless you want to hide the page from the left-side page navigation. In that case, click the No button after Visible in Navigation. Click Create Page at the bottom of the window.

  • New Document Wizard

  • In the new page tab that opens, right-click the empty space, point to Add Layout Block, and click 2 Col Layout Wide (default).

  • Add Layout Block

  • Next, in the Document Structure window pane on the left, point to the item beneath the heading 2 Col Layout Wide (default). It should say Column 1. Right click here and click Add HTML Content Block. A text editing window will open and you can begin adding the page content.
